International Performance Comparison
The 18th International Fire Brigade Competition
The traditional international fire brigade competition is one of the most important sporting comparisons in the fire service. Fire brigade groups from numerous nations compete against each other under uniform conditions and measure themselves in standardized disciplines that are recognized worldwide.
The focus is on athletic performance, precision and teamwork. The competition exclusively evaluates the performance of the groups and enables a fair, international comparison at the highest level.

Two disciplines, clear procedures, high participation
The competition is divided into two central disciplines: the fire attack and the obstacle relay. A total of nine competition lanes are available for the fire attack, and the obstacle relay is carried out on three separate relay lanes.
Around 130 competition groups from around 20 nations and about 135 judges are expected.
The structure specified by the CTIF ensures a smooth process and comparable conditions for all participating groups.
Great international interest
The international fire brigade competition enjoys a high reputation worldwide and is considered the sporting highlight of their career for many groups. Participation requires years of preparation and intensive training.
In addition to the active participants, around 3,000 fans and accompanying persons are expected. Thus, the competition combines top athletic performance, international encounters and broad public interest.
The competition brings together numerous people from different countries and underlines the international importance of fire brigade sports.
