How we handle your data

The protection of your personal data is of utmost importance to us, and we make every effort to guarantee this. Our data processing is based on the legal regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Telecommunications Act 2003 (TKG 2003).

The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. However, if you wish to use special services, the processing of personal data (e.g. name, e-mail address, address or other personal information) may be necessary. This data will only be used by us for the purpose specified in each case.

We would like to inform you comprehensively about the type, scope and purpose of the personal data collected, used and processed by us and to inform you about your rights. Although we have implemented numerous technical and organizational measures to protect your data as effectively as possible, Internet-based data transmissions can have security gaps. Therefore, you are free to transmit your personal data to us by alternative means, such as by telephone.

Purpose of processing

– Provision of the online offer, its contents and shop functions
– Provision of contractual services, service and customer care
– Answering contact requests and communication with users
– Marketing, advertising and market research
– Security measures

Duration of data storage

We generally store the data stored by us for a period of approximately six months. An exception is the need to store data for longer in order to be able to track and investigate possible attacks on our website. If you create an account on our website, your data will be stored for the entire duration of your account’s existence. After the account has been deleted, we will only store your data for as long as legal obligations require us to do so.

Data storage on the server

Our hosting provider automatically collects information and stores it on the server. This information includes the browser used, the operating system, the referrer URL and the time of access. Without checking other data sources, this data cannot be directly assigned to specific persons.

However, we reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if we become aware of concrete indications of illegal use.

SSL encryption

Our website uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption, which can be recognized by the additional “s” in “https://” in the URL and the small padlock symbol in the browser line. This technology ensures secure data transfer on the Internet and protects confidential information exchanged between your browser and our server. This ensures that personal data that you enter on our website is protected from unauthorized access.

Forms and comments

When you fill out forms as a visitor to our website, we use the data you provide, such as via the contact form, exclusively to process your request. Your personal data, including first name, last name and e-mail address, may also be automatically transferred to our newsletter system. You will receive a confirmation e-mail to confirm your subscription to our newsletter. Only after your confirmation via the double opt-in procedure will we store your e-mail address and send you information. You can revoke your consent at any time; you will find a corresponding link at the end of each of our mailings.

For security reasons, we may also store the IP addresses of visitors who leave comments or form entries on our website. This is done in order to be able to trace the identity of the author in the event of illegal content, such as insults or extremist propaganda. Your comment, including metadata, will be stored indefinitely so that we can automatically recognize and approve follow-up comments.

When you contact us via a form on our website or by e-mail, we store your data for processing the request and for possible follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies, small text files that are stored on your device and enable us to store specific, user-related information while you visit our website. Cookies help to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of our website and help us to make our offers comfortable and efficient.

We use both session cookies, which are only stored for the duration of your visit to our website, and permanent cookies, which store information about visitors who repeatedly access our website. Permanent cookies are used to enable optimal user guidance, to recognize visitors and to present an attractive website. They only contain an identification number; personal data such as name or IP address are not stored and individual profiles of your usage behavior are not created.

You can deactivate the storage of cookies or restrict it to certain websites and set your browser so that it notifies you as soon as a cookie is sent. You can delete cookies that have already been saved from your PC’s hard drive at any time. Please note, however, that deactivating cookies may lead to a restricted display of the page and restricted user guidance.

Google Fonts

We use Google Fonts (fonts) on our website for a uniform and appealing presentation of texts. These fonts are provided by Google, but we store them directly on our server. This means that it is not necessary to connect to Google’s servers when you visit our website. Further information about Google and its privacy policy can be found at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

Embedded content from other websites

Our website may contain embedded content of various types, such as videos, images, articles, fonts and links to newsletters. This embedded content behaves as if you had visited the website from which the content originates directly.

The websites from which the embedded content originates may collect data about you, use cookies, integrate additional third-party tracking services and record your interaction with the embedded content. This also applies to your interactions with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to the website in question.

Further data protection information

The links to social networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram integrated on our website are implemented as static links. This means that no data is transferred as long as you do not actively click on one of these links. Only by clicking on the respective links will you be redirected directly to our profiles on the corresponding platforms. From this point on, the respective provider has the possibility to collect data, and it is possible that this data will be stored outside the EU. We have no influence on this process and unfortunately cannot give you any precise information about which data is collected by which provider.

If you are already logged in to the services mentioned or have activated the automatic login function, you can access our offer directly without having to enter your login details again. Without these functions or if you are not logged in, only the publicly accessible information is visible.

Burst Statistics

This website uses “Burst Statistics”, a self-hosted and data protection-friendly analysis tool, for web analysis. Burst Statistics provides us with anonymized data for a precise visitor analysis of this website. This data will not be passed on and is exclusively available to us.

The data processing is based on the legal provisions of § 96 Para. 3 TKG and Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a (consent) and/or f (legitimate interest) of the GDPR. Our goal in accordance with the GDPR (legitimate interest) is to continuously improve our offer and our online presence.

Right to information

You have the right to obtain information about the personal data stored about you, its origin, recipients and the purpose of storage. In addition, you have the right to correction, deletion, restriction, transfer, revocation and objection to this data.

For requests or concerns regarding the processing of your personal data, as well as in the event of inconsistencies or missing information in our data protection regulations, you can contact us at any time. We always strive to keep our data protection regulations up to date and to clarify your concerns quickly.

If you are of the opinion that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have been violated in any way, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the responsible supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the data protection authority.
